Biography
Dr. Balan is a dedicated surgeon specializing in trauma, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care. He completed his undergraduate studies in physiological sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles, before earning his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. His passion for surgery led him to match at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he completed his general surgery residency and developed a strong interest in trauma surgery and critical care. He then pursued his Surgical Critical Care fellowship at Los Angeles General Medical Center/University of Southern California.
Dr. Balan is excited to bring his expertise to the East Bay, where he is committed to providing exceptional care to his patients. He is deeply passionate about surgical education and mentoring medical students and residents to help shape the next generation of surgeons.
